Equine
Our services include Dentistry, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Ultrasonography, Reproduction, Lameness exams, Pre-purchase exams,
Surgery, Vaccinations, Worming, and Emergency Services.
Our doctors understand the needs of today's owners and have the unique ability to provide to you with both the clinical skills and
compassionate care you expect for the equine member of your family.
Preventative Care: By offering vaccination, deworming, and dental care, our clients are able to help prevent disease and common
equine health problems.
Dental Care: Dental problems are best prevented by dental examinations at least once a year. (Sometimes twice a year depending on
the horse.) Horses teeth continue to grow through out their lives. For this reason we are able to determine an estimate age of a horse.
However, certain dental problems can make this task difficult. (Exp. broken teeth and abnormal wear.)
Reproduction: Having a new foal in the barn can be a fun and exciting time. It can also be scary and frustrating. Fortunately we are
here to help with all your reproduction needs; including pre-breeding consults, reproductive ultrasonography and palpation, pregenacy
exams, emergency services, and neo-natal care.
Diagnostics: We provide both at the clinic and at your farm radiology and ultrasound diagnostic services. We also offer a full range
of laboratory testing, including complete blood work, biopsy and histopathology, and pathogen cultures. Many other test are also
available.
Pre-purchase and Lameness Exams: Our pre-purchase exams include an evaluation of the horse's general health, as well as an
assessment of soundness and appropriateness for the animal's intended use. Lameness exams can reveal something very minor to
something very detrimental for the horses will being. With our experience and diagnostic procedures we are able to assist with the
diagnosis and treatment of your horses specific lameness problem.
Livestock
Our primary goal in food animal medicine is to help our clients be more efficient and profitable. Good animal health is the utmost of
importance for profitability. Our Veterinarians keep up to date on the latest techniques and equipment.
Farm Calls: We our pleased to be able to travel to your farm to assist you with your livestock needs. If you are not sure if we would
travel as far as to your farm, please call the clinic for more information.
Herd Health: Herd health and maintenance is the best thing you can maintain for your livestock. Not only does it help to prevent
disease and reproductive problems; it also helps your bottom dollar. Our herd health includes: vaccination programs, parasite control,
castrations, dehorning, Brucellosis vaccinations, Johne's program, and TB programs. We are able to modify and create a individual
program for your own needs.
Reproduction: Special management programs can be set up to help your herd achieve reproductive success. We provide, reproductive
diagnostics, synchronization, pre-breeding consults, reproductive ultrasonography and palpation, pregenacy exams, emergency services,
and neo-natal care.
